Congratulations on your new Tattoo!

Quality is truly our commitment, and as such, we would like to review these easy steps with you to ensure your tattoo heals optimally:

Leave your second skin plaster on for the next three to four days. You may notice some liquid product and ink seepage under the plaster this will evaporate over the next day or two, through the plaster. You can shower with this plaster but please do not go swimming and avoid excessive sweating.

Remove the plaster carefully under the shower using lots of soap and warm water. It might be difficult to take off so take off, as the adhesive is very sticky so take your time.

Wash thoroughly with warm water and fragrance-free soap. Do not be alarmed if a “slimy” substance is noted, this is a combination of blood product, sweat, seeped ink, and protein deposits from healing process.

process.

Pat dry with clean paper towel and allow to air dry for 30-60 minutes

Apply thin layer of ointment (i.e: hustler butter, pegasus cream, bepanthen ) so as to minimally moisten the entire area. Please be sure this is done with clean hands and that you do not over-apply ointment as excess ointment will clog pores and thwart the repair process of the skin, resulting in slower healing and
rashes.

Continue this process for a total of 7 days afterwards switch to a light body moisturiser like Nivea.

During these 14 days it is essential that you do NO sunbathing and NO water immersion (swimming, jacuzzi, sauna, etc.) please limit sport due sweating in the earlier stages of the tattoo healing especially in the first 10 days after the tattoo.

Please note that it takes from 3 weeks and up until two months until the tattoo fully heals please be patient as during this time there can be many stages of scabbing and the old skin peeling of the new tattoo. This can be tender and very itchy. Please take time and be patient as healing times vary between person to person and don’t scratch or pick the new tattoo, this brings further microbes into the healing surface.

Remember that your ink is now part of your skin, and if your skin is healthy, so is your ink! It is recommendable that after the two-week healing process, use of daily lotion and sunscreen when exposed to sun is paramount!
